When I was about 21 years old, I drove through Death Valley after leaving Los Angeles own my way back to the east coast on a cross country adventure. We stopped the car in Death Valley to relish in the beauty and silence that this forbidding landscape offers. With a name like Death Valley, you could imagine that there is not much activity there. The silence was deafening and there was a hum in my ears due to my eardrums not receiving any sound waves. You actually are hearing the electrical impulses in your ears because of the lack of sound. I remember thinking to myself, I would like to die and be buried here when it is my time. The peace I felt was like no other. I carry that feeling and memory with me to this day.

Patience

Patience is one of the most important virtues in life. With patience you can do anything. Eventually you will make it on the path that you are meant to be on. This is where faith comes in. I hope that you can find it. When a person is ready to cut you off in traffic or someone is ready to be rude to you, it is better for you to remain calm and have patience for that person. No reason to let your stress level rise and put you in a bad mood. You can control over your emotions and others are not perfect. Sometimes, others are happy to see you upset, this is from their own wrong view and their unhappiness. Humans are flawed beings and we need to realize this with ourselves and with others.
